I would like to suggest that greater attention to the construct of resilience in psychotherapy research could be scientifically fruitful and clinically useful for addressing the unmet needs highlighted by Cuijpers. What is meant by “resilience” , and how can it be measured? Resilience is the ability to adapt, to thrive in the face of adversity, and to bounce back from life’s challenges.
